My Clean Eating Grocery ListPosted on March 24, 2014 at 8:09 am
Happy Monday (: I’ve had a request for this post for quite awhile now so I decided that it’s time to make it happen! People want to know what I buy at the grocery store. A lot of the time, if you’re new to “eating clean” walking into the grocery store can be overwhelming. You question everything that you’re buying (which you should anyway) and just find yourself confused and hungry….or even worse, hangry…dun, dun, dun.
I compiled a massive grocery list of things that I like to keep in my kitchen pretty much at all times. Now understand that I don’t buy all of this every single time I’m at the grocery store (could you imagine that grocery bill…I’ll pass on that).
I try to buy organic when I can, but I don’t panic if I buy something that’s not. When I’m shopping, I try to keep in mind that my goal is to buy foods in as close to their natural state as possible. Processed = no thank you. I buy fruits that are in season and usually buy my produce from local farmers’ markets.
Obviously my list isn’t perfect, but it’s what works for me. You have to figure out what works for you.
I’ve told y’all this before and I’ll tell you again: food is our body’s fuel. Some people don’t like hearing this but nutrition is responsible for 70-80% of your physique. So that being said…it’s really hard to out train a bad diet. It’s not only about WHAT you put in your body, but how much your put in your body. Make sure that you’re not overeating the good stuff, because we all know that too much of a good thing can turn bad.
I hope this helps and gives you some ideas of what to buy when you’re grocery shopping! What is something that is on your grocery list?
