Why You Should Do Workouts That You Love

Happy Monday, babes! I hope y’all enjoyed the weekend (: I spent a lot of it working, but Sunday was relaxing so I’m grateful for that! I’ve been hearing a lot of people talking about how they actually look forward to/enjoy their workouts. You have no idea how happy that makes me! There are SO many types of workouts to help you get your sweat on, so there is absolutely no need for you to be doing something that you hate. Today I want to talk about why you should be doing workouts that you love.

Why You Should Do Workouts That You Love

1. You’ll stick with it.

If you’re doing something you love, chances are you’ll stick with it for the long run rather than being off and on with your workouts. For example…I don’t like running. So if I decided that running was going to be my workout everyday, I doubt I’d ever workout.

2. You’ll enjoy some “me” time.

Working out is my “me” time, so it’s even better when I’m doing something that I enjoy doing. I love the feeling after an intense workout…it’s 45 minutes of uninterrupted time. Just me, my sweat & I (;

3. You’ll reach your goals faster.

You’ll reach your goals faster because like reason #1 says, you’ll actually stick with working out if you like what you’re doing. If you stick with what you’re doing, your goals will be reached and they will last!

And the most obvious reason why you should be doing workouts that you love:

4. Because um why would you want to do something that you don’t love?

No explanation needed. Life is too short to do things that you hate.

Now don’t even try to take this as, “Well I don’t like any type of workout so I guess I shouldn’t workout then!” NO. I can guarantee you can find SOMETHING active that you like to do. Here are some of my favorite ways to workout:

  • High Intensity Interval Training (HIIT)
  • Mountain Biking
  • Ballet Barre
  • Yoga
  • Jump Roping
  • Tabata Training

And the list goes on and on and on. Mix it up! Have fun with your workouts! Part of being healthy is being happy.

It might take some trial and error to find what works for you, but I’m telling you, don’t settle for a workout that you don’t love. Enjoying your workouts takes your training to a whole new level (:
