The Key to Getting Fit & Healthy

I see these “motivational” pictures all the time…they say things like “Do it for the ‘Wow you got hot!'” or “Do it because they said you couldn’t.” Well you want to know what I think? Of course you do, that’s why you’re here right? (; I think you should do it FOR YOU. Sounds simple enough right?

Do It For You

I really believe that the true key to becoming fit & healthy is doing it because you want to. Because you want to feel better. You want to look better. Because you want a better life with more energy and happiness.

People can want these things for you. Sure. But nothing is going to stick and truly cause lasting change until you want them for yourself. Not only want them but go after them. You’re in charge of what you eat, of what you do in your spare time, whether you choose to workout and be active or not. YOU ARE. Not “they” like those motivational quotes sometimes refer to.

So that means you have to step up to the plate. You have to take control. You have to make it happen. How bad do you want it? I promise that if you put in the effort and dedication results will come. But only if YOU want them.

So here’s to working hard and making fit & healthy happen!

    LOVE this post! And it is so true. I have started workout routines probably 15 times in the past 3 years, but never seem to have stuck with them. And finally in February of this year, things just came together. I turned 30 on the 13th of February and something finally set in and the desire to get fit and healthy was for ME. Not for anyone/anything else. just for me. Of course I want to take care of my body and live a healthier lifestyle for my husband and our future children, but it has just become a priority for my no one but me. I feel so much better as the days go on and I am no long dreading a workout and I love cooking a healthy meal for the hubs and myself!
    Thanks for being so inspiring, I have been doing your workouts on instagram along with running and other workout videos i own! And I am anxiously awaiting joining the Glisten Fit gym!
