Small Changes Make a Big DifferencePosted on May 12, 2014 at 12:01 am
Guess what? Reaching your goals isn’t easy. Surprise! Goals don’t work unless you do. And to some people that’s incredibly overwhelming. But it doesn’t have to be! It’s so important to break your goals up into smaller, manageable pieces.
When I first had the idea to start Glisten, I was SO overwhelmed, because all I could think about was the big picture. Adam had to talk me down and help me realize that I had to put this dream together piece by piece for it to be successful (which I am still working on…it’s an ongoing process, which I’m also learning).
Small changes make a big difference. And that goes for your health & fitness goals, too!
Everyone is different. Some people can jump in head first and go all in from the very beginning, while others need to test the waters and ease their way in. Neither way is wrong…as long as you’re taking steps to make your goals happen then do what you gotta do.
Here are some small changes you can make in your health & fitness journey that will make a big difference:
- Drink an extra glass of water each day
- Stop drinking soda for a week and see how you feel
- Park far away from places and take advantage of walking the extra steps
- Eat an extra serving of veggies every day
- Add an extra 5 minutes to your workout each week for a month
Whatever your goals are create smaller goals that will help you get to the big picture! It’s all about figuring it out as you go and finding out what works best for you. Don’t get too wrapped up in the big picture that you forget what it took to get you there.
