I hope you had a very relaxing weekend and that you’re ready to take on a brand new week (:
Today I wanted to talk about showing yourself grace when it comes to your health + fitness. I know we’ve all heard it before: our health + fitness is a journey not so much a destination. To me that means that once you get where you want to be, you don’t just stay there…you have to keep doing things in order to maintain or you can set new goals and continue moving forward. You are never at a standstill.
With that comes a lot of opportunity to be hard on ourselves. It’s super easy to get down on yourself if you miss a workout or have one too many treat meals. But trust me – beating yourself up about it is not the answer.
Mental health is SO important when it comes to reaching your goals. I can tell you from experience that when you stop beating yourself up and continue to work hard even after slip-ups…that is when you will see a change. You’ve got to show yourself some grace. Trusting the process is such a healthy mentality. Know that you are not going to reach your goals overnight, just as you are not going to lose all of your progress overnight either.
Just remember to stay the course. Work hard. Love yourself. You are strong. You are beautiful. You are ENOUGH!
