Y’all…how is TOMORROW a new year? I feel like I was just getting married yesterday (and my wedding was in April). This was the first full year of Glisten Fit, and it was wonderful. But I’m so excited for what’s to come next year (: Here’s a short video to let you know about some of those things:
Also I want to talk a little bit about New Year’s Resolutions. I know some people are all about them while others…meh not so much. I strive to set new goals all year, but I love the feeling of a clean slate that January brings. I decided that my big goal this year is finishing my e-book (which I just started in mid-December) and my daily goal is to stretch for a little bit after each workout.
These workout pants are from Ellie and I am obsessed.
I like having a major “work toward” goal and then a smaller “conquer every day” goal. I’ve really been slacking on foam rolling and stretching after my workouts and it’s taken a toll on my body. So I’ve already started spending 5 minutes after each workout stretching and foam rolling and MAN has it made a difference. Plus just clearing my thoughts during those 5 minutes is pretty awesome. I usually choose two songs and play them and once those 2 songs are over, I know I’ve stretched for about 5-6 minutes.
I also have this thing where I choose a word that I want to define the coming year. My 2014 word was “DO” and I’ve already nailed down my 2015 word. I can’t wait to share it with y’all on Instagram on New Year’s Day (: I’ll be doing a blog post about it next week, too!
