Did y’all have a good weekend? I absolutely did! The Jason Aldean/Florida Georgia Line concert was super fun! I’m ready to take on the week! Drew & I start filming our full length workout videos for the HIIT Fusion Online Gym this week…ah! Which brings me to the point of today’s post – getting out of your comfort zone.
UH. Amen to that up there. How true is that? If you think about it, we don’t really allow ourselves to grow if we stay cooped up in our comfort zone all the time. Yes, you can grow a certain amount, but once you reach the end of your comfort zone, there is nowhere left to grow. You’ve got to step out, try new things, be brave with your life.
This goes for anything in life…fitness, job opportunities, friendships, etc. Be your best you, put forth effort, get uncomfortable.
I hear it all the time:
“I don’t want to take yoga because I’m not flexible.”
“I don’t want to take spin because I don’t think I can keep up.”
“I don’t want to do a high intensity workout because it’s too hard.”
These people are throwing the towel in before they’ve even started! To me that is just a bunch of missed opportunities. Trying new things is what’s going to challenge you. And if something doesn’t challenge you, it won’t change you. It’s your job to push yourself to be the best you can be. To explore. To live. To do something out of your comfort zone!
Okay enough cliches for one post.
Grab a piece of paper. Write down one thing that you’re scared to do, then go do it. Take a picture of you doing it and hashtag #glistenfitchallenge. I want to see what kind of things you’re overcoming!
I’ll be posting my picture later this week on Instagram. We can all feel awkward and uncomfortable together to reach new goals and achieve new things!
