Hey y’all! Mondays are so great because I feel like they’re a clean slate – a fresh week for you to make things happen. I know that life is BUSY. Not just for me, but for pretty much everyone. Instead of panicking over our to-do lists, we need to step back, breathe, and figure out our WHY.
Your why is your motivation. WHY are you doing something? If you can’t answer that question then it’s time to re-evaluate some things and re-prioritize. WHY are you working out and eating healthy? I can’t answer those questions for you, but I can tell you my WHY.
I choose to workout and eat healthy because…
- I love my body and I want to take care of it so that it takes care of me.
- Working out makes me feel strong and confident.
- I like how whole, healthy foods makes my feel – my skin is better and my energy levels are higher.
- Working out is my ME time.
More on the last one – everyone needs ME time. Whether it’s for 5 minutes a day or 60 minutes a day, me time is essential. It keeps you grounded. It keeps you from getting overwhelmed. It keeps you from under appreciating.
I suggest finding a workout style that you LOVE to do. One that makes you feel strong. One that helps clear your mind. One that is your ME time. Find foods that are good for you body and that you enjoy eating (it’s possible, I swear – just go on Pinterest).
What is your WHY? I hope you don’t workout and eat healthy because you feel obligated to. I hope you don’t despise every second of it. Because that is not going to bring positivity into your life, and eating healthy and working out should be a positive thing!
