Don’t Wish For It. Work For It.

So many people want to lose weight and get healthy but they don’t want to put in the work. They scour the Internet for quick fixes or magic pills. It blows my mind how “badly” people want something but they’re willing to take shortcuts to get there. Your health & fitness is just like anything else in life…you’ve got to put in the work to reap the benefits of the results.

Work For It

Your health & fitness is a journey not a destination…I know, I know…cliche. But it’s so true. There are going to be ups and downs, good days and bad days, and you’re going to learn a lot about yourself in the process. That’s how it should be! Being fit and healthy is a lifestyle. It’s something that is a part of you. And your journey doesn’t look or feel like anyone else’s. We all struggle and excel in different areas. You’ve got to find out what works best for you. What works with your schedule, with your stomach, with your interests.

I just want to encourage you to work hard for what you want. And this doesn’t just go for being fit & healthy. Set your mind on a goal and figure out the best way to get yourself there. Sometimes it takes longer than we originally planned, but that’s okay! It just makes it that much sweeter when we do reach that goal. Surround yourself with people who are going to encourage you and uplift you. Make sacrifices that you feel good about and that help define you.

There is no magic pill. Shocker, I know. It just takes hard work, dedication, patience, endurance, and time.

Be Active Today

But there is nothing that can take that hard work away from you once you’ve earned your goal. So work hard, stay strong, and do not give up! Your hard work will pay off…promise!

    I agree with you lady, people don’t want to put in the time and it’s like, “you’re kidding right”?!?! If there were an easy fix, there wouldn’t be a bazillion books on diets. Great post!

    I love the optimism in this post (but then again, all of your posts are positive – love it!) – thank you for this. Needed to hear it today! Such a great reminder that the good/bad days will happen even if we ARE working our bums off. =)

    Such a lovely post to read and so true. I think we are all guilty of wishing there was a quicker way to do most things in life. Just got to work hard and persevere!

    Absolutely love this post. I usually don’t comment, just skim but I needed this today. I have a back injury and can’t work out but I need to remember that I CAN control my diet. I can still work hard without working out. 🙂
