Define Your Goals. Then Make Them Happen.

Did y’all have a good weekend?! Mine was VERY productive. Husband was out of town (it’s officially hunting season) so I cleaned the house (like for real cleaned…not just pushed stuff into a closet like usual…ha) and got a ton of work done getting ready for the HIIT Fusion Online Gym launch (46 days…ah!). Today I want to talk about goal setting. Sounds boring right? Well it’s not! It’s necessary! Without setting goals, you’re kinda just going through life hoping for the best. When you set goals, you make things happen!

Make Your Goals Happen

This goes for your health & fitness journey and other areas of your life. Setting goals helps you track your progress and make even MORE progress. With a goal in mind, you are able to pour 100% into reaching that goal. Here’s a look at how I do my goal setting:

1. Define your goal.

Make sure that your goal is attainable. Start with small goals and work your way up to bigger ones. Breaking a big goal up into smaller goals has always left me feeling way less stressed out. I also recommend not setting TOO many similar goals at once. Chip away, one goal at a time, and before you know it you’ll be doing bigger and better things.

2. Create a plan of action.

Cool you have a goal. Now what? Figure out ways to make it happen. Write them down. Give yourself a time frame…a goal without a time frame is just an idea. Be realistic.

3. Get it done.

Give your all. Sometimes reaching goals requires sacrifices. You have to determine how badly you want your goals to happen. There is nothing more frustrating to me than people half-assing things. Do you want to do it or not? Dedication, commitment, and consistency are a must. Things don’t happen unless you make them happen.

4. Evaluate your progress.

Did you make your goal happen in your specific time frame? Are you close? Did you even start? Take some time to sit down (put your phone away…I know, the struggle) and reflect on your goal/progress since you started.

5. Make adjustments.

Sometimes we set a goal that seems realistic but then once we start our plan of action, we realize it’s not really working out. Don’t just give up. Time to think outside of the box. What are some other ways that you can reach that goal?

Work hard. Give your all. Make it happen! I believe in all of you…but you’ve got to believe in yourself!
