What To Do If It Rains On Your Wedding DayPosted on May 28, 2014 at 12:02 am
Every bride wants to look and feel her best on her wedding day…I was no different! I had a mini-panic attack when it started down pouring before our ceremony, because I didn’t want to look like a sad, wet puppy. Luckily, my hair (Adam’s mom & sister!) and makeup teams were fabulous and my look held up well considering the weather. My photographers were also amazing and captured some amazing shots of everyone and every moment. This week I’m going to share my favorite bridal portraits and next week I’m going to share my favorite sweetheart portraits!
Things to remember if it rains on your wedding day:
1. Frizzy hair doesn’t mean your entire wedding is ruined.
2. Rain actually makes your pictures look better…everything is saturated, making for gorgeous colors.
13. The world doesn’t revolve around you. It quite possibly could rain on your wedding day. Rain is essential. Rain keeps the world working. It’s raining on your wedding day…but it’s still your wedding day. Things will work out (:
A little note: if it rains on your wedding day, they say it’s good luck…well I call BS. I think that’s just something they say so brides won’t lose it if it rains on their big day. Well I definitely lost it. I walked into the reception area with my bridesmaids to take a look at how the decor was coming along and the sky decided to fall. Our reception was in a stable with a tin roof, so the rain sounded 20 times worse than it actually was. At this moment, one of my bridesmaids handed me her phone, my soon-to-be husband was on the other line. He calmed me down and reminded me that it didn’t really matter if it was raining or not…we were still getting married!
Happy Wedding Wednesday!
