5 Things That Every Bridal Shower NeedsPosted on March 26, 2014 at 4:12 pm
Hey babes! Some of you know that I used to have a lifestyle blog (Lovely Little Things) before I started Glisten. I’m having withdrawals so I’ve decided to sprinkle some lifestyle posts here on this blog, too (: If you notice up on the nav bar, I have a “Be Fierce” category which is where you will find all of the on my heart/inspiration posts, a “Be Fabulous” category which is where you will find all of the beauty/lifestyle posts, and finally a “Be Fit” category which is where you’ll find all the workout, fitness and nutrition posts…which is what I’ll be posting the most of. So on today’s Be Fabulous post…
Part of being a woman means being involved in a bridal shower at least once in your life. Whether you’re throwing one, attending one or the bride of one…they are here to stay.
My wedding is in 23 days (COMMENCE MAJOR FREAK OUT MODE) and 2 weekends ago my Matron of Honor threw me the best bridal shower I could’ve ever imagined. Seriously, watch out Pinterest…this party was unbelievable! I had such a great time and I was blown away by her creativity. The theme was pink, glitter, Paris! My fiancé, Adam, and I met in French class in high school, so the theme was perfect.
Instead of showing you 3,000 pictures of my shower (because trust me, I have that many), I’ve made a list of 5 things that every bridal shower needs! If you’re throwing a shower anytime soon, you don’t want to miss any of these things, I’m telling you. They made the party beyond fabulous.
5 Things That Every Bridal Shower Needs:
1. Glitter mason jars. UH DUH.
If you know me at all, you know that I have 2 obsessions: glitter and mason jars (and Luke Bryan, but that’s besides the point). Crissy pretty much nailed it when she made these adorable glasses for us to drink out of.
2. A freaking runway.
I mean c’mon. What bride doesn’t want to strut down her very own runway?
3. A photo booth complete with goofy props.
If you get a bunch of girls together what is one thing that they always want to do? (No, the answer is not gossip). TAKE PICTURES! Lots and lots of pictures. Danielle, my maid of honor, made sure to have a photo booth area set up, which is where most of my favorite pictures from the day came from.
4. Delicious food and drinks.
We had macarons, sparkling adult beverages and a chocolate cake the size of my head (hey, it’s all about balance people).
5. An amazing group of bridesmaids.
These girls were by my side all day, reminding me of how excited they are to be a part of the big day! They all worked together to give me such a special shower, and I am so thankful. I couldn’t have asked for a better group of girls. I couldn’t imagine stand up there on my big day without any of them (: …and this includes my two out of town ones, too! Meg…I’m talking to you.
So now you know what you need to plan the perfect, most fabulous bridal shower ever!
